Platinum (Non)-Installers

INSTALLER = 0 STARS
For the (Lowe's Bradley, Illinois) store itself that should be a five star rating. The help was good, friendly, polite, and knowledge about the appliances.
The installer though is why it is a one, wishing it could be zero, star rating. I bough a microwave at Lowe's last Saturday, with install. Was told that would call to schedule within two business days. About the only thing with the installer that was good as they did call on Tuesday, at 4:05pm.
They wanted a four hour install window for the next Friday. SIX days after purchase. My schedule does not have FOUR HOURS open on a Friday. Who does?
The Saturday window was only two hours, so I scheduled for then, 9 AM to 11 AM. Was told by the scheduler that the installer would call the day before to confirm. So far, sounds good.
The good stuff ends!
Friday comes and goes without a phone call from them. Saturday morning still no call. WTF is going on? Do i still have an install today? 9AM nothing. 10AM nothing. A smidge before 11, I call Lowe's.
Now I wish there was ratings for the people on the phone because they were great. I explained the schedule, they verified. They called the installer, or attempted to anyway. They said no answer, it went straight to voicemail.
And the alarm bells go of in my head about installer horror stories, realising I am now in one.
They sent the installer a text. No response.
An email. No response.
WTF!
So I am doing the survey after the call ended, this is about 11:15, and who do I see coming around the xurve in the road?
At least Platinum Installers finally showed up.
The guy comes in, does a quick mis-measurement and says he can not install because there is not enough space. Odd, there is an existing microwave there, same size. He said the minimum was 30” above the stove. False! The minimum is 66” above the floor. Holding the tape up, better than 24” (2 feet) from the wall, without the end on the floor, no level from the cabinet, says ” nope, too short”.
Crock of bull excriment! Learn how to read a tape and measure correctly Brian! Just because you are running late is not a reason to skip a job. I measured the wall, 66”.
Oh yea, he took the microwave and still no refund on my card.
Save yourself some trouble and shop elsewhere, or do the install yourself.

Will add a measurement picture/video as soon as i get to a desktop computer.
